Medicine in the Civil War - Civil War Research Paper Topics

Medicine in the Civil War - Civil War Research Paper TopicsCivil War Medicine is a major area of study that has been quite heavily researched and written about in recent years. One of the most popular areas of study is the treatments which were used by both the Union and the Confederate States of America. For example, these general research papers have investigated the use of quinine as a form of medication and by the opposing sides in the war. The general public has learned to expect medical research papers to focus on the side's experiences and the issues at hand. However, a lot of the studies focused on the side that won the war, which was more likely to help the general public understand the issue. The medicines used during the Civil War are also the focus of study. Quinine and penicillin are two of the most common drugs which were used during the conflict. There are some very important things to understand when looking at the side which won the war.Medicines during wartime are mos t often associated with the Allied side. They usually produce extremely high concentrations of the active ingredients in medicine such as chloroquine, which is used by the United States in the Civil War. This chemical is extremely toxic, but is used in many cases to treat malaria. Quine is the type of penicillin that was often used to treat malaria. The medicines used by the Confederacy are commonly forgotten, but they are still important because they are one of the primary causes of death during the war. They also made up the majority of those who died during the conflict. The medical research papers on this matter were conducted by the Center for Disease Control to better understand the history of medicine in the Civil War.Penicillin was used by the Union during the war era, but was rapidly developed by the Confederacy to help them defeat the White South. The drug was used as a form of treatment for many things including anemia and tuberculosis. Most Americans are familiar with thi s drug because it helped save the lives of many soldiers who had been wounded. The only problem is that many people were affected by it.During the war era, there were many medications available that were not made by man. This was to be expected in a war where blood flowed freely between armies. Of all the medications, the use of cholera, typhoid, malaria, diphtheria, and a great many other infections was commonly documented during the war. In most cases, the medications were used as a means of trying to cure soldiers who were afflicted by them.It is a fact that some medicines were much more effective than others, but overall, both sides came out much better off when the conflict was over. Both of the most powerful wars of all time have been studied and researched during the past couple of decades. Civil War Medicine is still covered by several schools and universities, and it will continue to be one of the most widely studied topics in recent history.
